I'm with the other posters here, if Ubuntu works its fine, the problem happens when it stops working and you need to get your problem fixed.

My favorites currently is EB4, Oracle Enterprise, and RHEL.

Honestly, for desktops Windows 7 makes a surprisingly good desktop once you add Cygwin and some other open source goodness to it.

My Favorite Linux is Linux Mint 9. I also like openSUSE, And I did have RHEL 5.4 on at one time.

I'm on the boat with Mepis 8.5 which is what I currently run. I used to like Ubuntu, but recently I haven't been able to get the live cds to start. And nothing else really appealed to me except for Mepis (debian based :) ). So, yeah, I'm all for Mepis although it isn't perfect. Took forever to set up my wireless. This is where Linux definitly sucks.
